According to industry statistics, in 2018 1-3, the new wind power grid capacity of 3 million 940 thousand kilowatts nationwide. By the end of March 2018, the total wind power capacity of the whole country reached 168 million kilowatts. In 1-3 months, the national wind power generation reached 97 billion 900 million kwh, an increase of 39% over the same period last year. The average wind power utilization hours in the country were 592 hours, up 124 hours compared with the same period last year. In 1-3 months, the national disposable wind power consumption was 9 billion 100 million kwh, a decrease of 4 billion 400 million kwh compared with the same period last year. The national average wind abandoning rate was 8.5%, and the abandoned wind rate dropped 8 percentage points over the same period. The national abandonment of wind power and the rate of discarding wind is “double drop”.
In 1-3 months, Qinghai (750 thousand KW), Henan (550 thousand KW), Ningxia (350 thousand KW) and Jiangxi (310 thousand KW) were newly added to the provinces with more grid connected capacity. The provinces with higher average utilization hours are Yunnan (904 hours), Fujian (809 hours) and Sichuan (765 hours).
